Danielle Privat is a Brooklyn-based glass artist born in St. Lucia, with French roots that shape her visual language and sensibility. She is passionate about expressing and preserving her Caribbean culture through glass, using the material as a way to translate memory, identity, and heritage into physical form. She was named First Runner-Up in Miss St. Lucia USA, entering the pageant with the intention of introducing her community to glassblowing and expanding visibility for Caribbean artists within the medium.

Privat is especially drawn to black and clear glass for the way they hold emotion through contrast, reflection, and transparency. She has a strong passion for Gothic architecture and finds continual inspiration in luxury glass. These influences guide her toward creating work that feels intentional, enduring, and emotionally resonant.
